This Couples Counselling course is designed to provide participants with an introduction to the skills and knowledge required to begin working therapeutically with couples.

Providing couple’s counselling can be a highly dynamic and engaging endeavour for therapists, with much to ‘unpack’ and consider in the therapy room.

This course will provide practitioners with a solid grounding in offering counselling to couples (or those in other forms of intimate relationships), and cover key areas such as contracting, attachment dynamics, safeguarding issues, and difference and diversity. Ideas and interventions for common challenges faced by couples, or adult family members will also be explored, including; communication difficulties, affairs/betrayals, separation and divorce, blended families etc.

This course is ideal for those looking to begin their practice with this client group or those looking to reflect on and build their current practice.


Module 2 consists of a combination of short, pre-recorded presentations, independent learning, and reflective exercises. A live 3-hour workshop is also included.
