Whilst endings can often be difficult and evoke painful emotions in clients and practitioners alike, they can also be a great source of opportunity, growth and healing.
This course will explore the theme of endings and transitions in therapy, and promote ‘best practice’ in terms of how to manage these effectively. The notion of planned and unplanned endings will be discussed, and key skills such as contracting and preparation, and picking up on client readiness and cues, will be shared.
